It’s a bit like a broken record at the moment but we go into yet another game today struggling to get a fit team on the park. We had ten fit for this one, two having to start with two of our subs yet again not even stripped. In this competitive league, that’s always going to be a struggle but as we’ve come to expect, the lads gave it their all again but just came up a bit short.
It felt like a really flat performance today, probably from both teams if we’re being honest and always looked like one that would be decided by an odd goal/ From our perspective, it was a disappointing one to lose with three passes from goalkeeper to front catching us out with a bit of pace. So despite being far from our best, we go in one down at the break but still very much in it.
Losing Scott Inglis to a second yellow card ten minutes into the half was hardly what we needed but it actually seemed to galvanise us and we probably had our best spell from there on in but just lacked that bit of decisiveness and quality in the final third to really trouble the Coldstream defence.
We’ve bounced back before though, and we will again so we get back to the training ground through the week and get ourselves prepared for a tough trip to Fife to face Oakley United next weekend.
