Paul's thoughts on third consecutive win

Despite going a goal behind after quarter of an hour, it was an absolutely dominant performance from start to finish and on another day we could have scored five or six.

It was a sloppy goal to concede and probably just our final decision making in the final third was a bit off today and with that we’ve probably made it a bit harder for ourselves than it should have been on the balance of play. But, like I say, we were dominant on the ball and off the ball and we played some real good stuff at times with great tempo. The boys now feel the goals will come with the way we play and we’re probably as confident as we’ve been all season that if we keep plugging away on days like today then the goals will come eventually.

We now have another two games to go and if we play like yesterday with a bit more ruthlessness in the final third we will be confident in adding to our recent good run and boosting our final points tally.

I would like to say on behalf of myself, every player was absolutely brilliant again, from all the boys who played 45 and 90 minutes through to all the subs. My aim has been to ensure everyone minutes from now until the end of the season but without letting our standards drop and the whole squad have already shown they are capable of playing their part.

The boys to play here for their love of the club so it’s only fair everyone is rewarded with game time now and I’m glad we’ve managed to do that. I think all the lads all appreciate that and it’s made us even stronger as everyone knows there’s still places to play for even at this late stage of the season.
