Anthony's thoughts on a tough afternoon in West Lothian

Well, to say the first game in charge didn't quite go to plan would be something of an understatement. There’s no getting away from the fact that coming in halfway through the season and trying to install a new system was going to be difficult and we could certainly have done without an away trip to the runaway league leaders to get our tenure underway.

It was clear to see from the first minute why Armadale are chasing a league title. They didn’t give us a minute rest the whole afternoon and we just didn’t get close to them for the majority of the game.

That said, in terms of the goals we lost, we were the architects of our own downfall and we go in three down at half time after losing every one of the goals from corners, leaving us with a mountain to climb in the second half.

Credit to them though, they were right on it today, and far too many of us weren't. It’s a harsh lesson for us all and we know we need to be better to compete and get results in this league.

But one thing is for sure, everyone's up for the fight so we will put this behind us and work hard through the week again in preparation for our home game against West Calder United next weekend.
