Anthony's thoughts on a poor afternoon

davidlamb33

Well, to say we're disappointed with yesterday’s performance doesn't even come close. I’m actually more disappointed in the lack of desire and commitment to gain three points than not picking the points up.

After the praise heaped on the players for the last three performances, it’s sad to say we were second best from the first minute to the very last minute.

Unfortunately, in the position we find ourselves, were unable to have off days like that or we simply won't pick up the points we need to pull us away from trouble.

Following those three decent performances where we came out with six good away points, we were expecting the lads to come into this match with their tails up. Whether too many enjoyed Valentines Day a little too much or not I don’t know but the fact is we came to Harthill with a whimper. The result was we came away with nothing and deserved nothing.

The lads know what's expected of them, and as a team, we fell way short of that yesterday.

It’s behind us now though and we can’t sit back feeling sorry for ourselves. We need to get back to the training ground this week, get the sleeves rolled up and get back to playing with the same intensity as we had become used to recently when we face Stirling University next weekend.
